About Us

At Orthomolecular Nutrition and Wellness Center, our mission is to incorporate the science of healing which addresses the whole person.

In practice, this means that every person is seen as a unique individual. For that reason, we cater each person’s treatment to their specific needs (rather than using a “one size fits all” style of therapy).

Orthomolecular medicine is all about providing the body with the correct amount of naturally occurring substances; such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids and herbs. Therefore, we only use a natural and holistic approach to healthcare, allowing us to help our patients balance their body and bring themselves to optimal health, vitality, performance, as well as increased longevity.

Dr. Salome Masghati, Board Certified Surgeon & Integrative Practitioner

Dr. Masghati is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical University of Vienna in Austria and completed her residency at the White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. She previously lived in Austria, France, Germany, Iran, and the United Kingdom and is fluent in 5 languages (English, Spanish, French, German, and Farsi).

As an experienced surgeon and board-certified OBGYN trained in minimally invasive gynecology, Dr. Masghati is passionate about combining her experience as a surgeon and western medicine with her love of holistic healing to help patients heal naturally with both traditional and alternative modalities.

Dr. Masghati’s formal medical training in minimally invasive gynecology allowed her to address complex surgical cases in women with endometriosis, fibroids, pelvic pain, and more. However, even after surgical intervention, Dr. Masghati realized that her training lacked providing her with the skills and tools to help those women beyond surgery. From this point forward that Dr. Masghati had an awakening that she needed to take it upon herself to explore further education, training, and certification to help prevent autoimmune conditions and complex health issues from arising in the first place, with an emphasis on prevention and wellness.

Instead of medical “healing” the bodies of these patients surgically, Dr. Masghati sought integrative and holistic treatment modalities to help prevent the pain, fibroids, endometriosis, breast cancer, and ovarian cysts from recurring or happening in the first place.

Dr. Masghati realized that patients needed more help resolving chronic conditions. It wasn’t until she applied the principles of functional medicine that she fully understood that her care had to include all aspects of health, including lifestyle, nutrition, environment, and mindset. She learned that the body is an ecosystem; you must connect all the dots to heal it, not just treat symptoms.
