Overview

What is holistic OB-GYN care?

Holistic OB-GYN care combines medical gynecologic evaluation and preventive screening with attention to nutrition, sleep, stress, metabolic health, and other factors that may affect women's health. At OrthoLiving, that means listening to your concerns, investigating possible causes of symptoms, and discussing treatment options that fit your needs.

Your plan may include lifestyle changes, targeted nutritional support, prescription treatment, monitoring, or referral to another specialist when appropriate. Testing and treatment are selected for your situation.

Preventive Care

Pap smears, checkups, and preventive women's health

Routine care gives you space to ask questions and address concerns before they become more disruptive.

Well-woman checkups and review of your medical and family history.

Pap smears and cervical cancer screening when indicated.

Discussion of HPV testing and appropriate screening follow-up.

Breast and pelvic examinations when clinically appropriate.

Review of menstrual cycles, reproductive goals, and sexual health concerns.

Evaluation of symptoms such as irregular bleeding, pelvic discomfort, or vaginal changes.

Guidance on age-appropriate preventive care and referrals.

Note: A yearly checkup does not necessarily mean you need a yearly Pap smear. Your screening schedule depends on your age, previous results, medical history, and current guidelines.

Hormone Care

Personalized hormone care

What we address

Changes in hormones can affect menstrual cycles, temperature regulation, vaginal comfort, sleep, and sexual function. Symptoms such as fatigue, mood changes, or weight changes can also have other causes, so a careful evaluation comes first.

We help patients explore concerns related to irregular periods, PMS, PCOS, perimenopause, menopause, and changes in libido or vaginal comfort.

Your care options

Depending on your history and goals, your care may include appropriately timed testing, nutrition and lifestyle support, nonhormonal treatments, or hormone therapy when medically appropriate.

If you are trying to conceive, tell us before starting or changing hormone treatment. Fertility care and menopausal hormone care require different approaches.

Thyroid Health

Thyroid evaluation and women's health

Thyroid disorders can affect energy, menstrual regularity, and reproductive health. Thyroid evaluation may be appropriate when symptoms, examination findings, medical history, or pregnancy plans suggest a need.

Your clinician may recommend TSH and additional tests such as free T4 or thyroid antibodies when indicated. We interpret results alongside your symptoms and history, then discuss treatment or specialist coordination where needed. Broad thyroid panels are not necessary for every patient.

Fertility Programs

Holistic fertility programs: the Masghati Fertility Method™

The Masghati Fertility Method™ brings a whole-person perspective to preconception and fertility care. Dr. Masghati reviews your reproductive history alongside relevant medical conditions, medications, nutrition, sleep, and lifestyle to help develop an individualized plan.

The program's approach considers hormonal and metabolic health, cellular energy, inflammation, and stress regulation. These areas guide a personalized discussion; they are not a promise of restored fertility or pregnancy.

Your fertility plan may include:

1

Review of menstrual patterns and ovulation history.

2

Review of previous fertility testing, treatment, and pregnancy history.

3

Assessment of thyroid function, metabolic concerns, and nutritional needs when indicated.

4

Preconception nutrition and review of supplements and medications for safety.

5

Support for sleep, stress management, and sustainable lifestyle changes.

6

Coordination of partner evaluation, including semen analysis when appropriate.

7

Coordination with a reproductive endocrinologist or an existing IVF team.

We welcome conversations about PCOS, endometriosis, unexplained infertility, prior unsuccessful fertility treatment, and pregnancy loss. These concerns may require additional diagnostic evaluation and specialist care.

Important: Fertility programs are individualized. No program can guarantee conception, reverse age-related fertility decline, or replace indicated fertility treatment. Supportive care can take place alongside a timely medical evaluation.
