MOLECULAR HYDROGEN THERAPY

Molecular hydrogen seems like the perfect therapeutic the world has been eagerly searching for…

MOLECULAR HYDROGEN THERAPY

There are over 1,500 published papers on the benefits of molecular hydrogen in health and wellness. As of August 2020, more than 700 ongoing studies related to molecular hydrogen on clinicaltrials.gov indicate that hydrogen therapy (inhalation and drinking hydrogen-rich water) is beneficial for 170 diseases.

What Is Hydrogen Water?

A water molecule comprises two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom.

Hydrogen water is made by using electrolysis or elemental magnesium tablets to release the hydrogen that is bound to the oxygen atom, creating free molecular hydrogen. The amount of hydrogen in the water is measured by the parts per million and created by the effectiveness of the device or tablet at releasing a higher concentration of hydrogen into the drinking water.

The idea behind introducing hydrogen water is that adding more hydrogen atoms to water can cause effective absorption of hydrogen by the body. Hydrogen is an electron donor with beneficial effects like getting rid of free radicals and oxidative stress because of the free hydrogen atoms. This is in contrast to regular water, where the hydrogen molecules are all bound to the oxygen atom and are not freely available for use in the body.

Hydrogen (H2) is the most abundant molecule in the Universe. It’s an odorless, colorless, and tasteless gas.

In 1988, the association between high dietary fiber intake and reduced disease incidence was studied. It was proposed that molecular hydrogen (acting as a powerful antioxidant), produced in large amounts as a by-product of colonic fermentation of dietary fiber and unabsorbed carbohydrates may play an important role (Med Hypotheses. 1988).

In 2007, it was reported in a reputable journal (Nature Medicine. 2007) that a team in Japan discovered that inhaled hydrogen gas could act as an antioxidant and protect the brain from free radicals. This sparked the interest in its potential health benefits worldwide and led to extensive published and ongoing clinical research.

Following the landmark publication in Nature Medicine in 2007, many other studies regarding the potential application of hydrogen therapy on various conditions were subsequently published. Since the Japanese discovery, the effects of hydrogen have been researched in 63 diseases.

It’s less known that hydrogen was therapeutically used for the first time in humans in the early ‘90s. It was given to three divers to successfully help them overcome the effects of high pressure on the brain in deep-sea diving.

Hydrogen is the smallest existent gas molecule. Because of this unique property, molecular hydrogen could penetrate virtually every organ and cell in the body (including the brain), where it may have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, weight-loss, and anti-allergy activity. Molecular hydrogen seems like the perfect therapeutic the world has been eagerly searching for — with very few known side effects and such wide-ranging action.

Hydrogen water is loaded with hydrogen molecules. It’s formulated as the most practical and easy way to get hydrogen into the whole body. But it’s not the only way — hydrogen can also be inhaled, injected, or absorbed through a bath. At Orthomolecular Nutrition & Wellness Center, we can help.

Frequently Asked Questions at Our Wellness Center in Largo, FL

What types of conditions commonly respond well to Hydrogen Therapy?
According to a 2018 study published in the Journal of Acute Medicine and Surgery, molecular hydrogen may enhance critical care medicine and chronic disease management for clients with conditions such as metabolic syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, and neurodegenerative diseases. Studies have also shown that hydrogen can benefit athletes.

A 2015 review in the International Journal of Sports Medicine states that hydrogen supplementation can actually increase VO2 Max and increase time to exhaustion. According to Dr. Trainor, in clinical research hydrogen gas shows some promise in treating dementia, Parkinson’s, and boosting brain functions like memory and concentration. H2 practitioners also report seeing improvements in clients with Lyme disease and coinfections.

Is H2 Therapy safe?
Hydrogen gas is a powerful cell-signaling molecule with potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Inhaling hydrogen gas with a hydrogen therapy machine allows this powerful molecule to rapidly disperse throughout your body and is being widely studied for the treatment of a variety of health conditions.

Inhaled hydrogen has been shown to have numerous health benefits and is generally safe in many human and animal studies. In fact, hydrogen has been granted GRAS (Generally Regarded as Safe) status by the FDA. In studies going back to the 1940s, no toxic effects of hydrogen consumption have ever been reported.

Hydrogen is all-natural. We make (or the bacteria in our gut make) up to 10L of hydrogen gas per day in our colon. This is one of the reasons that hydrogen therapy from our wellness center in Largo, FL, is so effective — we’re already wired to recognize hydrogen at a cellular level.

How long does H2 Therapy take?
The benefits of inhaled hydrogen happen in just 30 minutes!

Can I do H2 Therapy during my Bemer appointment?
Yes! At Orthomolecular Nutrition & Wellness Center, we encourage it.

PEMF helps open your cell membranes to let nutrients in and toxins out. When you let more Hydrogen into your cells, there are less detox reactions and improved antioxidant benefits. Because the H2 molecules are so small, they cross the blood-brain barrier, so the brain benefits, too!

After her first session, one participant stated, “My brain fog is gone!”

You can book an H2 appointment by itself or combine it with Bemer for even more benefits.

ANTI-CANCER

Malignant oxygen free radicals are the fundamental factors causing pathological changes, cancer, and accelerated aging. Smoking, stress, and lack of sleep can all produce peroxygen-free radicals. There are numerous ongoing and completed studies validating the effects on how ingestion of molecular hydrogen helps your body fight diseases such as cancer by eliminating malignant super oxidative oxygen free radicals, as well as other dangerous and damaging free radicals. Easing the burdens of cellular decay caused by aging and everyday life is the function of hydrogen molecules in your body.

BRAIN ENHANCER

Molecular Hydrogen will strengthen the process of nerve conduction, promote the differentiation of neural stem cells, and improve the oxygen content of red blood cells and blood circulation. It also penetrates the blood-brain barrier, providing your mind with an abundance of hydration and fresh energy.

Fluids flow throughout your whole body more freely, which provides your brain with more energy and all the fluids it needs, enhancing mental performance. Easing the movement of the body’s gas increases the entire vitality of the human body and significantly promotes your memory and thinking while improving your attention and ability to store information.

POWERFUL ANTIOXIDANT

Molecular Hydrogen is the smallest molecule and strongest antioxidant in the world. It easily penetrates all cells in the body as well as the blood-brain barrier. H2 actively seeks out and neutralizes more super oxidative malignant oxygen free radicals than any other antioxidants.

Reactive oxygen attacks DNA in normal cells, which causes more than 70 fatal chronic diseases such as cancer, gene mutation, vascular disease, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, heart attack, stroke, and diabetes. This is why keeping your body super hydrated at all times allows you to naturalize more bad free radicals while providing energy, which helps your body stay strong and improves your overall ability to fight off disease.

ENERGY

Molecular Hydrogen boosts energy by enhancing nerve conduction and improving the oxygen content of red blood cells, leading to improved blood circulation. Its ability to penetrate the blood-brain barrier provides the brain with fresh energy. Molecular Hydrogen promotes the differentiation of neural stem cells, supporting the brain’s overall health and vitality. It works to optimize energy levels and provide a rejuvenating effect for both the mind and body.

SKIN CARE/WRINKLE REDUCER

The basis of all skin creams is that they add and lock hydration into your skin. By super hydrating your body from within, the slow release of molecular hydrogen improves skin elasticity, smoothness, and color & slows the wrinkling effects of aging. Facial wrinkles can easily be reduced and eliminated with an improvement in color by resisting the oxidation of mitochondria.

H2 molecular hydrogen tablets slow release of hydrogen from within keeps your skin continuously supple, smooth, and soft. Rather than just locking moisture into your skin like most face creams, we can supply our bodies with constant super hydration, keeping skin fully hydrated at all times from within. Fighting exciting wrinkles by soothing skin from within and helping to slow the appearance of new wrinkles as we age.

LIBIDO

Slow-release Molecular Hydrogen H2 Life Extension tablets from our wellness center in Largo, FL, give your body more than just hydration but a dramatic increase in your energy and circulation. Oxygen has eight electrons compared to hydrogen, which has only one electron, but it has the property of imparting electrons to other substances, so our body gains energy through hydrogen.

The improved circulation provides your libido with increased energy for better performance, potency, and pleasure. H2 also reduces muscle fatigue. When you exert yourself, your lactic acid increases. Lactic acid buildup leads to fatigue, muscle damage, decreased endurance, reduced performance, and poor results. Peer-reviewed research shows that molecular hydrogen decreases lactic acid levels.

ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE

H2 Increases Your Energy by stimulating the release of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP). ATP is the fuel that powers your cells during physical activity. ATP is especially important for athletes. Peer-reviewed research showed that Diatomic Molecular Hydrogen (H2) increased the efficiency of the mitochondria, producing more ATP in athletes. Supplementing with H2 tablets helps maintain the high ATP production needed during exercise, providing optimal strength, endurance, and recovery.

Increases in oxygen can produce more free radicals, leading to chain reactions and cell damage. When your respiration increases through exercise, this produces greater amounts of oxidative stress on your body, limiting your athletic performance. Two to five percent of the oxygen inhaled by the body can generate super oxidative malignant free radicals.

Sweating throughout exercise dehydrates your body, which is why drinking lots of water during exertion is important. The slow release of molecular hydrogen inside your body while you work out provides you with sustained hydration, fights super oxidative malignant free radicals & stimulates the production of ATP which increases your athletic performance.

LONGEVITY

Think about fruit left out to dehydrate vs. fruit protected from dehydration. Your body is the same! Extend the length of enzyme-telomerase, and it’s possible to prolong the lifespan of the human body. Hydrogen and oxygen have the opposite effect on reduction. Reduction means returning to the original state, giving electrons to substances captured by reactive oxygen, and restoring them to their original state.

Dehydration and oxidation are the biggest causes of aging. By ingesting molecular hydrogen, you super hydrate and anti-oxidize your body. This extends your lifespan by fighting free radical damage. Oxidation is literally the aging process, while molecular hydrogen supplementation prevents or slows the aging process by slowing oxidative damage.

REDUCE INFLAMMATION

H2 Life Extension Molecular Hydrogen Tablets improve pancreatic B cell dormancy and promote glucose metabolism. The joints in your body are lubricated by lipids, H2O, and other fluids. By keeping your body fully hydrated with Molecular Hydrogen, it allows your joints to move more freely, thereby reducing inflammation. By reducing inflammation, you relieve pain and soothe everyday aches and pains.
